The obvious answer is that people are weird. We offer up our most private thoughts and questions and Google feeds them back to millions of people in their autocomplete suggestions. However, after doing a bit of digging it does seem that Google autocomplete is just a bit weird.
Anyone can easily set up an account, pick a domain, layout a website, plug in extra features, upload images and enter text all from one login. What’s not to love? Why would you ever need to hire someone to build and maintain a website when you can do it all yourself for less than £100 per year?
Why on earth did I spend 45 minutes of my life watching 12 people trying to click on digital people’s heads moving around a virtual map?
